Al Jazira Targets Signing Wijnaldum

Al Jazira Club is interested in signing Dutch midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum, the former Al-Ettifaq player, during the current summer transfer window to strengthen the squad.

The Emirati club aims to bolster its midfield and has identified Wijnaldum as one of its targets, following his status as a free agent after parting ways with Al-Ettifaq.

According to journalist Santi Ona, Georginio Wijnaldum is attracting interest from Al Jazira, who have identified the Dutch midfielder as one of their targets during the current transfer window.

Gini Wijnaldum, aged 35, has departed from Al-Ettifaq following the conclusion of the 2025/2026 season, after his contract officially ended, making him available to join any club without a transfer fee.

Al Jazira hopes to benefit from Wijnaldum's experience, who has a long career in European and Arab football, to bolster the team's midfield in the new season.
