Dynamo Makhachkala has entered the competition to sign Algerian international Ahmed Qandousi during the current summer transfer window, taking advantage of the midfielder's situation with Swiss club Lugano, which is open to considering offers for his services.

According to Russian newspaper 'Sport24', Lugano's management has set its financial terms for the sale of Qandousi, demanding around €1.8 million for the player's contract. This amount appears to be within reach for Dynamo Makhachkala, which is seeking to bolster its midfield with a new addition during the current transfer window.

Despite Qandousi being under contract with the Swiss club until the summer of 2028, Lugano's management appears open to his departure, especially if they receive a financial offer that satisfies all parties. This could pave the way for the player to embark on a new experience outside of Swiss football.

The Russian club's interest comes at a time when Qandousi is looking to restore his level and return to his usual rhythm, after facing a tough season due to a serious leg injury that sidelined him from competition for a long time.

The injury has directly impacted the player's appearances with Lugano, as well as preventing him from joining the Algerian national team for the 2026 World Cup. A move to a new team now presents an opportunity for him to regain his fitness and make a comeback in the competition.
