Barcelona needs a new striker following the departures of Robert Lewandowski and Ferran Torres, as the current squad lacks a true center-forward. This situation has prompted the sporting management to compile a list of names for negotiations.

According to Spanish newspaper "AS", Barcelona's options in case the Alvarez transfer fails are as follows:

1- Lautaro Martinez (Inter)

Argentinian Lautaro Martínez is at the forefront of options, as the Inter Milan forward maintains his status as one of the top strikers in Europe. He is also a key player for the Argentina national team, with a market value estimated at around €85 million. However, his departure from Inter will not be easy at all, especially given his significant importance to the Italian club's sporting project.

Benfica has officially announced the signing of Evangelos Pavlidis. The talented forward joins the Portuguese side aiming to bolster their attacking options for the upcoming season.

Greek striker Evangelos Pavlidis is among the options Barcelona is considering after an impressive scoring season, reaching the 30-goal mark. However, Barcelona's management is aware that the Benfica forward's numbers came in the Portuguese league, making it essential to assess his ability to perform at the same level in more competitive environments before making a final decision on the transfer.

3- George Mikautadze (Villarreal)

George Mikautadze is one of the names that aligns with Barcelona's philosophy, thanks to his ability to operate in various attacking positions and his tactical flexibility that offers multiple options on the pitch. The Georgian striker scored 16 goals with Villarreal last season, but Barcelona still needs to assess the possibility of his transfer before making an official move.

Luis Suarez has officially joined Sporting Lisbon, bringing his wealth of experience to the Portuguese club. The former Barcelona star will be looking to make an impact in the Primeira Liga.

Barcelona is keeping an eye on the situation of Colombian striker Luis Suarez from Sporting, who has previously been linked with the Catalan club. However, the transfer appears complicated due to the €80 million release clause in his contract, a figure Barcelona is reluctant to pay, while Sporting is firm on its financial demands and does not seem ready to make significant concessions.

5- Mikel Oyarzabal (Real Sociedad)

Mikel Oyarzabal's name is also among the options being considered, especially given his vast experience in La Liga and internationally with the Spanish national team. Oyarzabal scored 18 goals with Real Sociedad and 14 goals with the Spanish national team last season, but signing him will be challenging due to his significant importance within his team, along with his strong ties to the Basque club.

6- Junior Kroubi (Bournemouth)

The French star represents a younger option at just 20 years old, having caught the attention of several European clubs due to his remarkable development. However, the main obstacle for Barcelona lies in Bournemouth's high financial demands, with the transfer fee potentially reaching around €100 million, a figure that complicates the operation for the Catalan club.

Victor Gyökeres has officially joined Arsenal, adding depth to their attacking options.

Victor Gyökeres is among the top strikers that could fit Barcelona's needs, thanks to his physical strength, presence in the box, and ability to score goals and lead the attacking line. The Swedish forward possesses the qualities of a traditional striker that Barcelona is looking for, but the high financial cost of the deal makes signing him a challenging option at this time.

Barcelona continues to explore its options in the transfer market to bolster its attack, as the deal for Julian Alvarez has become extremely complicated due to Atletico Madrid's insistence on keeping the Argentine striker and their refusal to entertain his departure.
