Egyptian defender Omar Fayed is set to embark on a new journey in Italian football, as he is on the brink of transferring to Frosinone from Turkish club Fenerbahçe during the ongoing summer transfer window.

Omar Fayad's name had previously been linked with a potential move to Al Ahly, but the player is now close to continuing his professional career in Europe, as Fenerbahçe is eager to provide him with greater opportunities to participate next season and gain more experience.

Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano has revealed that the Egyptian defender has arrived in Italy ahead of his transfer to Frosinone, stating on his X account that the details of the 23-year-old player's move to the Italian club were disclosed yesterday.

Romano shared photos of Omar Fayed on board the plane heading to Italy, where the Egyptian defender was seen with his agent Maher Nofal and partner Islam.

Turkish journalist Yağız Sabuncuoğlu has confirmed that the deal includes an offer of €500,000, along with a mandatory purchase clause.

Omar Faied is tied to a contract with Fenerbahçe that extends until the summer of 2027, after joining the Turkish club from Arouca in the summer of 2026.

During the last season 2025/2026, the Egyptian defender participated in 10 matches with Fenerbahçe across various competitions, before a new opportunity now looms for him to continue his professional journey in Italy through the door of Frosinone.
