Atletico Madrid Secures Cristian Romero Transfer

Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that the transfer of Argentine Cristian 'Cuti' Romero, Tottenham Hotspur's defender, to Atletico Madrid is a done deal.

Fabrizio Romano's confirmation came after CIFRA, the agency representing player Chiro Palermo, hinted at the deal through their Instagram account, signaling that the Argentine defender's move to the Spanish capital is nearing completion.

Atletico Madrid has made Romero a key target to strengthen their defense, while the player has reached a preliminary agreement on personal terms with the Spanish club, amid reports that the deal is approaching a value of €40 million.

Cristian Romero is nearing the end of his time at Tottenham after five seasons, as he prepares for a new challenge in La Liga under the guidance of compatriot Diego Simeone.
