Celtic Secures Haitham Hassan Deal
Celtic has finalized the deal to sign Egyptian international Haitham Hassan, a winger from Real Oviedo, on a four-year contract with an option for an additional season, following a successful medical examination.
According to Sky Sports, Celtic has reached an agreement with Real Oviedo regarding the transfer, with a guaranteed fee of around €7 million, along with €3.5 million in incentives and add-ons, bringing the total potential value of the deal to approximately €10.5 million.
Haitham Hassan has stood out with Real Oviedo in recent times, before catching the eye with the Egyptian national team, making him a target for several European clubs. However, Celtic has succeeded in securing the race to sign him.
Hassan is 24 years old, born in Paris and developed his football career in France, representing the youth teams of France before choosing to play for the Egyptian national team. He has previously played for Châteauroux, Villarreal, and Sporting Gijón, before moving to Real Oviedo.
His move to Celtic is expected to be a new step in his European career, having become one of the standout Egyptian names in the winger position.
