Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku is close to leaving Italian side Napoli to join Turkish club Fenerbahçe, as both clubs have reached an agreement regarding the transfer of the experienced forward.

Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano has reported that Fenerbahce has made a new official offer to Napoli, exceeding €6 million, which has been accepted by the Italian club.

Fenerbahçe has intensified its efforts in recent days to finalize a deal for Romelu Lukaku, entering direct negotiations with the player and successfully obtaining his consent to move. The club has now shifted its focus to negotiations with Napoli to reach an agreement on the transfer.

Romano has confirmed that Lukaku has already agreed to personal terms for a transfer to Fenerbahçe, with the main parties in the deal in agreement. The final steps involve completing the official procedures and necessary documentation to finalize the transfer.

Lukaku's potential exit from Napoli comes after a difficult season with the team, during which he struggled with injuries, making only 7 appearances in the 2025/2026 season, scoring just one goal.

The relationship between the 33-year-old striker and Napoli's management has soured after he insisted on continuing his treatment in Belgium without obtaining permission from the Italian club.

Romelu Lukaku's transfer to Fenerbahçe marks a new phase in the Belgian striker's career, having previously played for some of Europe's top clubs, including Inter Milan, Chelsea, and Manchester United.
