Liverpool has made its stance clear regarding the potential signing of Jed Spence, the Tottenham full-back, during the summer transfer window, despite the defensive crisis the team is facing due to injuries. The club does not intend to make a move to acquire the player.

The Mirror reports that Spence, who shone for England in the World Cup, is facing an uncertain future at Tottenham as Roberto De Zerbi reshapes the team.

Tottenham is opening the door for Djed Spence's departure, with the 25-year-old available for around £35 million, after being previously linked with moves to Inter and Milan, before Liverpool emerged as a potential destination.

Liverpool's defensive struggles are intensifying with several players sidelined. Virgil van Dijk is still working on regaining his fitness, while Joe Gomez suffered an injury in the first friendly match. Jeremy Doku remains absent due to a shoulder injury, and Conor Bradley is continuing his recovery from a serious knee injury.

Despite Djed Spence's ability to play as both a right and left-back, the Liverpool Echo has confirmed that the player is not in the club's plans. Liverpool has no intention of moving to sign him during the transfer window and is not currently considering defensive reinforcements.

Liverpool is instead focusing on bolstering their attack to compensate for the departure of Mohamed Salah, with ongoing links to Bradley Barcola, while Ibrahim Mbaye has emerged as an alternative option.
