Ahmed Magdy Reveals Shocking Details About His Departure from Zamalek

Ahmed Magdy, the young player of Zamalek, announced shocking and surprising details regarding the way he was informed of his immediate departure from the white team, after being released along with some young players like Anas Wael.

Ahmed Magdy wrote on his Instagram account after the decision to part ways with the club: "I am Ahmed Magdy, I have been with Zamalek for 14 years, I joined the club when I was young after going through trials, I took more than 10 trials, each time I went knowing I could be let go, but I was confident in God and thankfully I was accepted without any connections. Throughout my career in football, I never had connections nor relied on anyone but the grace of God and my own efforts."

He added: "During the 14 years I played at all age levels, I was honored to represent the youth national team, and I progressed to the first team with José Gomes, but unfortunately, just days before the registration deadline, I was informed that I would not continue with the club."

He continued: "Last season, I was suddenly told that I had a health issue and needed to undergo scans, even though I had never complained about anything or felt any symptoms. I spent about six months undergoing tests and scans for something that ultimately turned out to be non-existent, and I lost an entire season that I was looking forward to in order to prove myself with the first team."

He added: "In the end, I submitted a report from the head of the cardiology department at Cairo University, which is the same doctor the club asked me to consult. He confirmed that my condition is completely fine, and there is no obstacle to practicing football."

He continued: "Despite that, the club rejected more than one offer that came to me since my promotion to the first team, and the response was always that I am a son of the club and the future of the club."

He stated: "Throughout the break, I was in touch with the club to know my situation, and if there was no chance, I would look for my future elsewhere before the clubs closed their rosters, but each time the response was that I was continuing with the team, and I rejected all the offers that came to me."

The player explained: "I've never complained about anything, nor have I talked about money, even though there were months when I would get paid once and not for ten. My mother has been the one supporting me until now."

He concluded: "What bothers me is not the decision to leave, as that is part of life in football, but rather the way and timing of it, after 14 years of loyalty and dedication to the club... God is sufficient for me, and He is the best disposer of affairs."
