River Plate Secures Almada Deal
River Plate has finalized its contract with Argentine star Thiago Almada, reaching an agreement to acquire the player permanently for €20 million, allowing the club to obtain full transfer rights.
According to Marca, the transfer fee for Almada to River Plate is set at €20 million, with the Argentine club owning 100% of the player's rights.
Despite completing the sale, Atletico Madrid ensured to include a clause granting them the preferential right to re-sign the player, as they retain the right to buy him back within an 18-month period, until December 2027.
The report reveals that the buyback clause for Almada is set at €40 million, allowing the Spanish club a future option to reclaim him if they decide to activate this option within the agreed timeframe.
