Salah Nears Trabzon Move: Fourth Egyptian in Club's History

Egyptian international Mohamed Salah is preparing to enter a new chapter in his professional career, as he is close to transferring to Trabzonspor in Turkey, becoming the fourth Egyptian player to don the club's jersey, following three names who preceded him to the Turkish leagues.

Three Egyptian players have previously donned the Trabzonspor jersey: Ayman Abdelaziz, Sayed Moawad, and Mahmoud Hassan Trezeguet.

Ayman Abdel Aziz was the first Egyptian to wear the team's jersey, having played for Trabzonspor during the 2007-2008 season, before being followed by Sayed Moawad in 2008.

Mahmoud Hassan Trezeguet was the last Egyptian to represent the club, joining Trabzonspor in the summer of 2022. He left a clear impact during his time with the team before departing in 2025.

If his transfer is officially completed, Mohamed Salah will become the fourth Egyptian player in Trabzonspor's history, in a deal that will be one of the most notable moves in the club's history, considering the prominent status of the Egypt national team captain globally.
