Mouloudia Algiers Set to Sign Mohannad Abu Taha

Mouloudia Algiers is nearing the completion of a deal to sign Jordanian international Muhannad Abu Taha, after both parties reached a preliminary agreement for the player to join the team on a two-year contract, pending the final procedures and the official announcement of the transfer.

According to reports, Mouloudia Algiers' management has intensified negotiations with the Jordanian left-back in recent times, before successfully reaching an agreement on most contract terms, which has brought the deal into its final stages.

Reports confirm that negotiations between the parties have made rapid progress, with only a few administrative details remaining before the official announcement of the player's joining the Algerian champions.

Mouloudia Algiers' interest in Abu Taha comes after the impressive levels he showcased with Iraqi club Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya, where he contributed to the team's league title last season and established himself as one of the standout players in the left-back position.

The player has a diverse professional career, having progressed through the youth ranks of Al-Wehdat SC before moving up to the first team, where he represented the club from 2021 to 2024. He then had stints abroad with Al-Karkh in Iraq and Al-Orobah in Saudi Arabia on loan as a player under the age limit.

Despite Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya's management wanting to extend his contract and keep him, Abu Taha preferred to pursue a new experience outside the Iraqi league, benefiting from his impressive performances with the Jordanian national team in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, where he was a starter in all three matches.

The Jordanian international has been the focus of interest from several clubs in recent times, most notably Al-Faisaly and Al-Hussein Irbid, as well as Tunisian side Esperance. However, it is CR Belouizdad who has made significant strides towards securing the transfer.

In related news, ES Setif continues its activities in the transfer market, having reached an agreement with Jordanian defender Hadi Al-Hourani, a former player of Al-Faisaly, in a move aimed at bolstering the team's backline in preparation for upcoming challenges.
