Pyramids FC Signs Eyad Al-Asqalani from Russian Club Rostov
Pyramids FC has officially announced the signing of Egyptian defender Iyad Al-Asqalani from Russian club Rostov, making him the first signing of the team during the summer transfer window. This move is part of the management's plan to strengthen the squad in preparation for the upcoming season and local and continental competitions.
The club stated that Al-Asqalani will bolster the backline thanks to his ability to play as both a center-back and left-back, providing the coaching staff with additional options ahead of the season, especially with the team's participation in several tournaments. The signing of the 21-year-old defender comes after he showcased impressive performances during his professional stint with Russian side Rostov.
Eiad Al-Asqalani is one of the most promising defensive talents in Egyptian football, having progressed through the ranks at Ismaily before transferring to Rostov in 2024. He has also represented Egypt at both the youth and Olympic levels, making him a target for several clubs during the current transfer window.
Pyramids FC's management is committed to strengthening the team with exceptional young players as part of their project to compete fiercely for both the Egyptian League and the CAF Champions League titles. The club is expected to finalize more signings in the coming days before the transfer window closes.
