Napoli is studying the possibility of signing Serbian striker Dusan Vlahovic during the summer transfer window, should Romelu Lukaku leave the team, according to Italian newspaper "Tuttosport."

Dusan Vlahovic has been a free agent since his contract with Juventus expired on June 30, after both parties failed to reach an agreement on a renewal, despite the club's attempts to keep him.

The player had aspirations to move to the English Premier League or La Liga, but so far, the most tangible interest has come from Besiktas. However, the possibility of a return to Juventus remains if both parties are willing to make concessions.

Napoli is contemplating the acquisition of Dusan Vlahovic should both Romelu Lukaku and Lorenzo Insigne depart, as Rasmus Hojlund would become the only central striker in the team.

Dusan Vlahovic has a previous relationship with Massimiliano Allegri, the current Napoli coach, who managed him at Juventus. Allegri also attempted to sign Vlahovic for Milan during the last transfer window.

Tuttosport reported that Napoli's sporting director, Giovanni Manà, held talks with Vlahovic's father, who manages his career, at the beginning of June, keeping the option of a transfer to Napoli on the table during the summer transfer window.
