Former FUS Rabat Coach Compares Al Ahly's New Signing to Karim Benzema

Pablo Franco, the former coach of Morocco Fassi, praised the technical abilities of Moroccan striker Sufyan Benjdida, considering his transfer to Al Ahly a strong deal. He likened his playing style to that of French star Karim Benzema.

In statements made on the "From Cairo" program with journalist Karim Ramzi on ON Sport Max, Franco confirmed that Benjida, who finished last season as the top scorer in the Moroccan Professional League with 20 goals, possesses the qualities needed to excel with the Red team, provided he receives support and confidence from the coaching staff.

The Spanish coach pointed out that the former Raja Casablanca striker will be an important offensive addition for Al Ahly, explaining that his success depends on how quickly he adapts to the team's environment and his ability to deliver his best performances. He added: "I am very happy for him, as he is a goal-scoring striker with great potential."

Franco explained that Benjida possesses diverse attacking capabilities, as he can score from different locations, whether inside or outside the penalty area. He also has significant shooting power, along with a playing style reminiscent of some prominent strikers in European football.

When asked about the European player whose style is closest to Benjida, Franco emphasized the difficulty of making direct comparisons with the stars of the old continent, but pointed out that the technical similarities and movement style on the pitch make him closer to French star Karim Benzema.
