Doubts are beginning to surround the future of Moroccan international Bilal El Khannous at Stuttgart, as German media reports indicate that the player is no longer convinced about his role within the team, especially given his reduced number of starts during the second half of last season.

According to German outlet Sky Sports, Khenous has informed several close associates of his wish to consider a move during the current summer transfer window, feeling that he hasn't received enough playing time, especially after returning from the Africa Cup of Nations.

Meanwhile, the source clarified that the player has not yet submitted any official request to the club's management to leave.

Regarding Stuttgart's position, the report indicated that the club's management does not intend to part ways with the Moroccan international after just one season since his permanent signing, as they see him as a key element in the team's future project.

The source confirmed that the club will not entertain any offers for the player unless they exceed €60 million.

Khenous has made a permanent move to Stuttgart this summer, with the club activating the purchase option in his contract from Leicester City for a fee of around €20 million, following an impressive season where he contributed to 16 goals through scoring and assisting.

The impressive displays he showcased while wearing the Moroccan national team jersey at the 2026 World Cup, where he started in six matches, have increased the interest of several European clubs in signing him during the summer transfer window.
