Milan Tops Serie A Clubs in World Cup Revenue, Manchester City Leads Globally
AC Milan has secured the highest financial return among Serie A clubs from the club benefits program provided by FIFA following the 2026 World Cup, ensuring its place among the top ten clubs globally in terms of revenue. This achievement highlights Milan's strong financial position and its ability to capitalize on international tournaments.
Football Italia reports that FIFA has allocated approximately €215 million to be distributed to clubs whose players participated in the tournament. Italian clubs will collectively receive around €13 million, with the amounts calculated based on the number of participating players and the duration of their involvement in the competitions.
AC Milan will receive approximately €2 million thanks to the participation of ten players from their squad in the World Cup, while French players Mike Maignan and Adrien Rabiot contributed €240,000 to the club.
The report added that Atalanta ranks second among Serie A clubs with revenues of €1.4 million, followed by Inter Milan with €1.3 million, benefiting from their captain Lautaro Martínez reaching the final, as he alone provided €240,000, which is the maximum any club can receive for a single player.
Como will receive €580,000 thanks to the participation of Nico Paz, alongside Martin Baturina and Assan Diaw. Meanwhile, Juventus finished fourth among Serie A clubs, with Bologna coming in fifth.
The report indicates that Manchester City tops the list of clubs with the highest revenues from the World Cup, earning around €4 million, ahead of Barcelona, which will receive €3.3 million, and Arsenal with revenues of €3.2 million.
