The transfer saga of Algerian international Ismaël Bennacer to Qatari club Al-Shamal has taken a new turn, as negotiations between the two parties have halted at the last moment, despite the imminent announcement of the deal during the current summer transfer window.

Reports have emerged that the Algerian national team midfielder left the Qatari capital, Doha, without reaching a final agreement with Al-Shamal officials, resulting in negotiations ending without the anticipated contract being signed in recent days.

According to "Africa Foot", discussions between the two parties saw significant progress before Ben Nasser's trip to Qatar, but they stumbled in the critical stages due to disagreements over contract terms.

The source clarified that the main obstacle was not related to the player's or the club's desire to complete the deal, but rather to certain contractual conditions proposed by the Qatari club, which aimed to provide financial guarantees linked to the player's participation in matches.

The report indicated that the management of Al-Shamal sought to include clauses in the contract regarding wages in case Ben Nasser did not participate regularly with the team, a proposal that was rejected by the player and his representatives. As a result, negotiations have come to a complete halt for the time being, and the Algerian international leaves Doha without finalizing his transfer.
