Senegal FA President Reveals Medical Scandal Shaking National Team

Abdoulaye Fall, President of the Senegal Football Federation, has disclosed a controversial incident involving the medical staff of the national team, confirming the discovery that the team's doctor lacked the appropriate academic qualifications to accompany athletes and oversee their medical preparation and follow-up.

Fall explained that Dr. Fadjour, who was part of the medical team, originally specialized in obstetrics and gynecology, a fact he said he discovered too late.

He added that several Senegalese players did not feel satisfied or confident in receiving treatment and medical follow-up under the doctor's supervision, given the mismatch between his primary specialty and the nature of sports medical work.

These statements raise questions about the selection process for the members of the Senegalese medical staff, especially considering the importance of having specialized personnel in sports medicine to address injuries and players' physical readiness at the highest level.
