Brentford Signs Callum Wilson on Free Transfer

Brentford FC has announced the signing of striker Callum Wilson on a free transfer following his departure from West Ham United. The 34-year-old has signed a one-year contract with the club as they prepare for the new season.

Wilson arrives at Brentford after a season with West Ham, where he made 35 appearances across all competitions, scoring seven goals and providing one assist, while starting in 12 matches.

Brentford manager Keith Andrews stated that Wilson is one of the most proven strikers in the Premier League over the years, emphasizing that his experience will provide the team with additional attacking options and help develop young forwards Igor Thiago and Kai Forrester both on and off the pitch.

Wilson has had a notable career in English football, starting with Coventry City before shining at Bournemouth, leading them to promotion to the Premier League, and continuing his success at Newcastle United, where he won the EFL Cup in 2025. He has also represented the England national team in nine international matches, scoring two goals, and was part of the 'Three Lions' squad that participated in the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
