Besiktas Opens Talks with Napoli for Lukaku Transfer

Besiktas has initiated negotiations to acquire Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku during the summer transfer window, as the player nears a departure from Napoli.

According to Turkish newspaper "Fanatik," the club began its efforts after reviewing the latest medical reports concerning the player with Napoli and the Belgian national team, prior to opening discussions with the club's management and Lukaku's representatives.

The report added that Lukaku is open to a move to Besiktas, especially as he does not appear to be part of new head coach Massimiliano Allegri's plans, following a strained relationship with Napoli's management last season.

The main obstacle lies in the financial terms, as Napoli insists on receiving €10 million for the player's sale, while Besiktas is unwilling to pay more than €5 million.

With only one year remaining on the Belgian striker's contract with Napoli, the likelihood of his departure during the summer transfer window increases.

Despite injuries that plagued him last season, Lukaku finished with impressive numbers, scoring 15 goals and providing 11 assists in 45 official matches with Napoli.
