Due to Dogs: Ferland Mendy Appears in Court
Spanish radio station "COPE" revealed in a report that French full-back Ferland Mendy, a player for Real Madrid, has been referred to trial after being accused in a case involving one of his dogs biting a minor and attacking two other dogs.
According to the report, the special prosecution is seeking a six-month prison sentence for the Real Madrid player, along with a fine and compensation estimated at around 22,500 euros. This includes physical and moral damages, as well as the costs of treatment resulting from the incident.
These developments come at a time when Mendy continues his rehabilitation program to recover from the injury he sustained last May during the match against Espanyol, which has kept him off the field to this day.
The French international has been suffering from a series of recurring injuries in recent years, which have significantly impacted his consistency and performance with Real Madrid, amid uncertainty about his future with the royal club this summer.
