Milan Decides on Pulisic's Departure
AC Milan does not intend to part with its American star Christian Pulisic during the summer transfer window, despite growing interest from several clubs in Major League Soccer.
The "Football Italia" website explained that New York City FC is aiming to make Pulisic the standout signing in its sports project, after the "La Gazzetta dello Sport" newspaper indicated that the American club is prepared to offer the player an annual salary of up to 10 million euros with a five-year contract.
The newspaper "The Athletic" confirmed that New York City is not the only party interested in the services of the captain of the U.S. national team, as several other clubs in the MLS are monitoring the player's situation in anticipation of potentially signing him.
Despite this interest, AC Milan's management is not considering selling Pulisic this summer, according to "The Athletic," as the club is keen on retaining one of its key attacking players.
The contract of the 26-year-old player extends until the summer of 2027, with AC Milan having the option to extend it for an additional season until 2028, which gives the club an advantage regarding his future.
Currently, Pulisic is focusing on his participation with the United States national team in the 2026 World Cup, while AC Milan continues to work on reaching an agreement to renew his contract. There is no urgency from the club to conclude the negotiations, given the available option for extension.
