Milan Officially Terminates Ben Nasser's Contract by Mutual Agreement

AC Milan has officially announced the mutual termination of Algerian midfielder Ismael Bennacer's contract, concluding a seven-year journey with the Rossoneri. This decision comes after Bennacer has been sidelined from official matches since 2024.

AC Milan has officially announced that they have reached an agreement with the player to terminate his contract by mutual consent, wishing him the best of luck in his future career. This decision closes one of the lingering issues that had been pending over the past few months.

Ismaël Bennacer joined AC Milan in the summer of 2019 from Empoli for around €16 million, and has played 178 official matches for the team across all competitions, including 137 matches in Serie A. He played a crucial role in helping the club secure the Serie A title in the 2021-2022 season, being one of the key pillars in coach Stefano Pioli's lineup.

The serious knee injury he suffered at the end of the 2022-2023 season marked a turning point in his career with Milan, as he was sidelined for an extended period before returning to the pitch. However, he has been unable to reclaim his starting position, becoming a substitute option in most matches.

Recently, the player had two loan spells with French side Marseille and Croatian club Dinamo Zagreb, before both parties agreed to end their relationship permanently, allowing Ben Nasser to embark on a new phase in his career away from San Siro.
