Nail Al Ainawi's Father: My Son Loves Barcelona and Would Be the Happiest Person if He Played There

Younes El Aynaoui, the former Moroccan tennis player, confirmed that his son, Nael El Aynaoui, a midfielder for Roma and the Moroccan national team, has held a special affection for Barcelona since childhood, emphasizing that playing in the Catalan club's jersey represents a big dream for him.

Younes El Aynaoui said in statements reported by the Spanish newspaper "Mundo Deportivo": "My son supports Barcelona. He lived there from birth until he was eleven, and he would be the happiest person in the world if he played there one day."

Nael Aynaoui, aged 24, is delivering outstanding performances with the Moroccan national team in the 2026 World Cup. He started in the team's first two matches, forming a midfield duo alongside Ayoub Bouaddi.

Mundo Deportivo also recalled previous statements by the player himself, in which he spoke about his connection to Barcelona, saying: "I am a modern midfielder, I have great endurance and can play in various midfield positions. When I was a child, I lived in Barcelona and was a fan of Barcelona, and I have always admired Iniesta."

Al Ainawi is under contract with Roma until the summer of 2030, having joined the Italian club from French side Lens. Despite his father's statements and his well-known admiration for Barcelona, a move to the Catalan team seems complicated at the moment, given the presence of several prominent names in the midfield such as Frenkie de Jong, Pedri, Gavi, and Marc Bernal.
