Cambiasso Clings to Dream of Joining Barcelona

The future of Juventus player Andrea Cambiaso remains open to several possibilities during the summer transfer window. However, the Italian full-back prioritizes a move to Barcelona, despite the lack of any actual move from the Catalan club to sign him so far.

Barcelona continues to explore its options for the left-back position, as the situation with Portuguese player João Cancelo, on loan from Saudi club Al-Hilal, remains unresolved. Meanwhile, Alejandro Balde remains part of the team's plans unless he receives offers that might lead him to leave. This situation has left the door open for several candidates to strengthen the team's left flank.

Cambiasso's name was among the players linked to Barcelona in recent weeks, but the Spanish newspaper "Mundo Deportivo" clarified at the beginning of June that the Catalan club does not include signing the Juventus player in its current plans. The player is under contract with his club until 2029, and his value is estimated at around 40 million euros.

On the other hand, information coming from Italy indicated that Cambiasso still hopes for a chance to move to Barcelona. Journalist Gianluigi Longari mentioned that the player considers the Catalan club his first choice and prefers to wait for any potential developments before making a final decision about his future.

This comes in conjunction with Chelsea's interest in acquiring Cambiasso as a replacement for Marc Cucurella after the latter's move to Real Madrid. Meanwhile, Inter Milan is also monitoring the player's situation, but the priority for the Italian international remains a move to Barcelona.

Despite Cambiasso's desire, Barcelona's management is currently focused on strengthening the striker position, putting other transfer market matters on temporary hold. However, the club does not rule out making additional deals after reinforcing the forward line, while the left-back position remains on the table for planning for the next season.
