Al-Dar'iyah in Advanced Negotiations with Portuguese Bruno Lage

Al-Deraiyah Club has entered into official negotiations with Portuguese coach Bruno Lage to take over the leadership of the first football team in the upcoming season after being promoted to the Saudi Professional League.

Informed sources confirmed that communications between the two parties are still ongoing, as the club's management is eager to quickly finalize the coach's file in preparation for the upcoming phase.

The Diriyah management is seeking to contract with a coach who has significant European experience and is capable of leading the team in its first appearance among the professional league clubs.

The sources clarified that the file is not limited to Lagi only, as there are other names presented to the technical committee that have not been disclosed yet.

Bruno Lage is considered one of the coaches with a strong track record, having led Benfica to win the Portuguese league in the 2018-2019 season and achieved remarkable successes.

He also had coaching experiences in the English Premier League with Wolverhampton and in Brazil with Botafogo, before later returning to Benfica for a second term.

The move by Al-Dar'iyah is part of its ambitious project following the achievement of promotion, aiming to build a team capable of competing and establishing itself in the professional league.
