Esperance Announces Preliminary Agreement to Renew Belaili's Contract Awaiting TAS Decision

The management of Tunisian sports club Espérance Sportive de Tunis has announced that they have reached a preliminary agreement with Algerian player Youcef Belaïli to renew his contract with the team for an additional two seasons. This was achieved through direct coordination between the club's president, Hamdi Meddeb, and vice president, Chokri El Ouaer.

According to the statement, the activation of the new contract will not occur immediately but will come into effect directly after the final decision is issued by the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS). This decision is expected to be issued by the end of August, making the current agreement contingent upon the legal resolution of the case.

The managing board confirmed that this step comes as part of the club's policy aimed at maintaining the team's core pillars, especially with the upcoming challenges at both the local and continental levels, and working to ensure the stability of the technical group and not letting go of influential elements.

This agreement comes to strengthen Esperance's desire to continue competing for titles, relying on a stable combination of experience and offensive efficiency, while awaiting the final decision from the Court of Arbitration for Sport regarding the final status of the contract.
