Official: Daniel Peretz Bids Farewell to Bayern Munich and Joins Southampton

Southampton Football Club has finalized the permanent signing of goalkeeper Daniel Peretz from Bayern Munich, after reaching a full agreement between all parties regarding his permanent transfer to the English club.

According to recent reports, the deal was valued between 7.5 and 8 million euros after Peretz successfully convinced Southampton officials during his loan period in the second half of the season, where he delivered strong performances that made the club keen on retaining him permanently.

The 25-year-old goalkeeper moved to Southampton on loan in January 2026 from Bayern Munich, before establishing himself as one of the team's key players, contributing to the club's journey last season.

German and English sources confirmed that the agreement between the two clubs has been fully completed, with only a few minor administrative procedures remaining before the final official announcement from both parties. The good relationship between Peretz and the Southampton coach played an important role in the player’s decision to continue with the English club.

Peretz's departure marks the end of his journey with Bayern Munich, which he joined in the summer of 2023 from Maccabi Tel Aviv. However, he did not receive regular playing opportunities due to strong competition for the goalkeeper position. Therefore, he preferred to embark on a new experience that would ensure him regular participation.
