Lazio Moves to Sign Burnley Striker Broja

Tuesday 02-06-2026
Lazio has begun its initial steps to explore the possibility of signing Albanian striker Armando Broja during the summer transfer window, as the player wishes to leave Burnley following the team's relegation to the English Championship.

According to reports coming from Italy, Lazio has made initial contact with Burnley's management to understand the terms of a deal, as the Italian club is looking to strengthen its attacking options in preparation for the new season.

Burnley signed Broja permanently from Chelsea in the summer of 2025 for around 22 million euros, but the season did not go as expected for either the player or the club. The Albanian striker suffered from injuries and a decline in attacking effectiveness, coinciding with the team's relegation from the Premier League.

Sources indicate that Burnley is now willing to listen to offers ranging between 10 and 12 million euros only, which represents a significant decrease compared to the amount they paid a year ago to acquire the player's services.

Lazio officials believe that Broja, who is 24 years old, still has significant room for development, especially since he has previously demonstrated his abilities with Chelsea during loan spells with Southampton and Fulham.

In the coming days, new developments are expected in the case, especially if Lazio decides to enter into official negotiations, taking advantage of the player's desire to return to competing at a higher level than the English Premier League.
