Paris Saint-Germain Nears Signing of Young Goalkeeper

Paris Saint-Germain continues its preparations for the next season alongside the Champions League final against Arsenal, as the club is close to finalizing the signing of a new goalkeeper during the upcoming transfer window.

The French newspaper "L'Équipe" reported that the management of Paris Saint-Germain is working on completing the signing of an 18-year-old goalkeeper, without revealing his identity so far, with an indication that the player might be of Spanish nationality.

The newspaper clarified that this step is part of the club's policy to attract and develop young talents, a strategy followed by the sporting director Luis Campos, as previously demonstrated with the signing of goalkeeper Renato Marin from Roma at a young age.

The source also pointed out that the technical management believes Renato Marin has great potential that allows him to play at the highest levels in the future, which could open the door for changes in the goalkeeper position.

In the event of any changes in the second goalkeeper position, and the potential departure of Lucas Chevalier, the new young goalkeeper may find himself an important element in the team and could possibly be used directly in Paris Saint-Germain's future project.
