Sporting Lisbon Monitors the Future of João Palhinha

Several clubs continue to monitor João Palhinha's situation with Tottenham Hotspur, as his future remains undecided so far, according to Sky Sports.

Tottenham has the option to permanently sign the player for about £26 million at the end of his one-year loan from Bayern Munich.

It is not expected that Tottenham will decide on Palhinha's future until the end of the season when the final picture of the team's situation in the Premier League becomes clear.

The same source indicated that Sporting Lisbon is monitoring the possibility of bringing the player back to its ranks four years after his departure to Fulham in 2022.

On the other hand, it remains unclear whether the Portuguese club can meet the financial demands set by Bayern Munich to complete the deal.

The report also noted that Bayern Munich does not plan to rely on the player next season, making Palhinha's future open to the transfer market unless Tottenham decides to activate the final purchase option.

Nottingham Forest had shown interest in the player before his move to Tottenham last summer.
