Uli Hoeneß, the honorary president of Bayern Munich, has raised concerns about the health of German star Jamal Musiala, after revealing the difficulties in dealing with the neurological illness the player is suffering from, with doubts about his ability to regain his previous form.

Uli Hoeneß, during his appearance on the "Sonntags-Stammtisch" television program, said: "We are facing a dilemma regarding him. He is suffering from an illness that cannot be easily treated, but it can be somewhat managed with medication. However, it is still unclear whether he will ever be able to regain the level of performance he was delivering before."

Jamal Musiala revealed last August that he has been suffering from short and temporary absences due to a neurological dysfunction, explaining that it is treatable and that he is receiving specialized medical care. He also confirmed at the time that there are no additional health risks and that he has received approval from the specialist doctors to continue playing football.

Uli Hoeneß's statements shed light once again on the health challenges facing the player, who experienced two collapses during friendly matches this summer, while Bayern Munich reports indicate a change in the medication he is receiving. The player has not disclosed any additional medical details regarding the nature of his illness.

Away from his nerve issue, Jamal Musiala suffered a muscle injury with Germany at the end of September, before returning to Bayern Munich's collective training on November 5, although he was not ready to participate against Mainz. The biggest challenge for him remains regaining his fitness and form, amid the uncertainty that Hoeness spoke about.
