Union Announces End of Bergwijn's Season Due to Knee Ligament Injury

The Al-Ittihad club shocked its fans with the news that its star, Steven Bergwijn, will be absent until the end of the current season due to a severe knee injury.

The club revealed in its official statement that medical examinations, along with an MRI scan, confirmed that the player has suffered a partial tear in the medial collateral ligament of the right knee.

This injury is a significant blow to the team, especially with the Saudi Roshan League nearing its end, as Al-Ittihad loses one of its key offensive players at a crucial stage.

Bergwijn played an important role during the season, contributing to several goals either by scoring or assisting, which made him a key player in the team's lineup.

The player has already started a treatment and rehabilitation program under the supervision of the medical team, aiming to regain his readiness before the start of the next season.

In a related context, the union continues its preparations for an anticipated match against Al-Shabab, aiming to achieve a positive result despite the impactful absences affecting its ranks.
