The club clarified that defender José María Giménez suffered a severe sprain in his right ankle.
He also pointed out that Nahuel Molina suffered a muscle injury in his left thigh during the same match.
Atlético Madrid added that the players will undergo physiotherapy sessions and a rehabilitation program in the gym, with their return to matches being determined by the progress of their conditions.
