Alvarez prepares to face Barcelona in special test

The Argentine Julián Alvarez, forward for Atlético, is preparing for a special encounter against FC Barcelona, as part of the 12th round of LaLiga, scheduled to take place next Sunday at Al Riyadh Metropolitano Stadium.

The match holds additional significance for Julián Alvarez, as it is the first time he faces FC Barcelona at Atlético's stadium, following the attempts made by the Catalan club to sign him during the last summer transfer window.

FC Barcelona made a bid of €90 million, plus €10 million in variables, for Argentine forward Julián Alvarez, but Atlético rejected the offer despite the player's desire to leave at that time.

After the deal fell through, Julián Alvarez recently made sure to apologize to Atlético fans in an attempt to contain the situation and reaffirm his commitment to continue his journey with the team. The upcoming match against FC Barcelona presents a new opportunity for him to prove his worth in the red and white jersey.

The Argentine forward has a good record against FC Barcelona, having scored four goals in ten previous matches, which gives the upcoming clash special significance as he seeks to continue finding the net against Barcelona and lead Atlético to a positive result.
