Bayern Munich Decides on Havertz's Situation
Bayern Munich has made its decision regarding the possibility of signing the German international Kai Havertz, Arsenal's forward, during the upcoming summer transfer window amid ongoing speculation about his future with the London club.
Press reports confirmed that the Bavarian giant does not have Havertz as one of its targets in the current transfer market, despite the club's desire to strengthen its attacking line in preparation for the new season.
On the other hand, Bayern continues its serious moves to sign Anthony Gordon, Newcastle United's winger, with active negotiations currently taking place between the two parties.
According to predictions, Havertz will continue his journey with Arsenal under the leadership of coach Mikel Arteta for the next season, especially since his contract with the club extends until the summer of 2028.
Despite the great popularity the player enjoys among Bundesliga fans, following his previous brilliance with Bayer Leverkusen, his return to Germany this summer seems unlikely so far.
Journalist Christian Falk stated via CF Bayern Insider: “It's not true that Bayern Munich added Kai Havertz to its shortlist before the summer transfer market.”
He added: “I heard these rumors several weeks ago, and after verifying them, there were no talks or negotiations, and Havertz is indeed thinking about the next season with Arsenal.”
He continued: “I believe he desires to play for Bayern Munich in the future, but his name has not been proposed within the club's supervisory board, and he is not on the summer targets list so far.”
The report indicated that Bayern's management is more focused on signing players capable of occupying the left-wing position or playing across the entire front line, which aligns with Anthony Gordon's specifications.
Havertz's injury record also raises some concerns within the German club, after the 26-year-old player missed 32 matches with his club and the German national team during the 2025-2026 season due to a knee injury.
The player's struggles did not stop there, as muscle injuries and rest periods kept him out of an additional 9 matches during the same season.
Despite Havertz's ability to play in more than one attacking position, the report sees the deal as illogical for coach Vincent Kompany's team, especially with prominent attacking names like Harry Kane and Michael Olise present.
With Bayern focusing on signing a left-winger or a versatile forward, Kai Havertz currently does not fit the type of players the German club is targeting during the summer transfer market.
