Italian Roberto De Zerbi, the head coach of Tottenham, has made his decision regarding the future of Portuguese midfielder João Palhinha, who has been on loan from Bayern Munich since the start of the current season.

Palhinha joined Tottenham on a one-season loan during the last summer transfer window, with an option for a permanent purchase for 27 million pounds.

According to the British newspaper 'Daily Mail', De Zerbi wishes to activate the clause for the permanent purchase of the player, given the improvement in his performance since taking over the team's management.

Palhinha has participated in 42 matches this season across various local and European competitions and contributed to 9 goals, having scored 6 goals and provided 3 assists.

The 30-year-old player has prior experience in English football, having played for Fulham between 2022 and 2024, before moving to Bayern Munich in a deal valued at 50 million euros.
