Arteta: I Accept Criticisms Because They Develop Us, and That is Our Goal
Friday 08-05-2026
Mikel Arteta, the manager of Arsenal, spoke about the criticisms the team faced after qualifying for the Champions League final, ahead of the anticipated match against Paris Saint-Germain, and before the West Ham match in the Premier League.

Arteta said in the press conference: "I accept that criticisms can be positive or negative, as it is what improves our performance and pushes us to raise the level of competition in the two strongest European tournaments."

He added: "We must be prepared for that, what a moment it is to reach the final match, we truly deserved it, but the priority is to win the Premier League for the fourteenth time with Arsenal after a 22-year absence."

He continued: "We will have enough time to prepare for the final match, but for now we must focus all our attention, precision, and energy on West Ham, let's focus on the present and live the moment."

He concluded: "We must prepare well and show the same level of energy, fighting spirit, and desire that we have shown throughout the season, or even more. We are getting closer and closer, and everything we do will make a difference. Will Arsenal achieve the greatest season in its history? We will find out in the coming weeks."
