The media personality Ahmed Shobier congratulated the Asyut Petroleum Club on their promotion to the Egyptian Premier League.

Shobeir said on Facebook: "Congratulations on the return of Petrol Asyut Club to the Premier League.. It's something reminiscent of the good old days, and even better, it's a club from Upper Egypt.. A million congratulations to the people of Asyut and all of Upper Egypt."

Asyut Petroleum drew against its counterpart Mansoura in the 33rd round of the Professional League, raising its tally to 57 points, thus securing promotion to the Premier League with one round remaining.

Asyut Petroleum has become the second team to qualify for the Premier League, following Al-Qanah, which secured the top spot.
