Manchester United legend Wayne Rooney believes that the Egyptian star Mohamed Salah is experiencing a noticeable physical decline this season, noting that 'age has started to affect him and his feet are not what they used to be.'

Rooney's statements come at a time when Salah is nearing a departure from Liverpool at the end of the season after years of brilliance with the Reds.

Rooney added that the Dutch defender Virgil van Dijk is also experiencing the same decline, explaining that the team's senior leaders no longer have the same impact on the field or in the locker room.
