River Plate Coach Opens Door for Mastantonio's Return
Monday 27-04-2026
The Argentine coach Eduardo Coudet spoke about the possibility of the young player Franco Mastantuono returning to River Plate, given his difficulty in adapting this season with Real Madrid and the noticeable decline in his role within the team.

Codet said in his speech: "We are waiting for him here with open arms. He is a very special player, and I don't see what he's going through as an adaptation problem because when he was with me, he performed exceptionally well."

He added: "Franco faces very strong internal competition with players in the same position, such as Brahim Diaz and Arda Güler, even though he is only 18 years old."

He concluded: "River Plate makes you lose the sense of everything, but I always want the best for the youth."

Real Madrid had invested a significant amount in signing Mastantono during the last summer transfer window, after a strong competition with Paris Saint-Germain. However, the player has not yet been able to secure a regular spot due to the intense competition within the team.

Mastantuno played 30 matches in all competitions this season, scoring only 3 goals and providing one assist.
