The German coach Matthias Jaissle continues to make history with Saudi Arabia's Al-Ahli, having led his team to a new continental achievement that places him among the top coaches in Asia with exceptional numbers, affirming the rise of the "Elegant" project.

Matthias Jaissle, the young German coach, etched his name in gold in the history of Saudi and Asian football after leading Al-Ahli to win the AFC Champions League for the elite, an achievement that reflects the team's development under his leadership.

Statistics revealed that the German coach became the second manager to win the AFC Champions League twice with Saudi clubs, after leading Al-Ahli to victory in the 2024/2025 and 2025/2026 editions, respectively.

With this achievement, Jaissle equaled the historic record set by Romanian coach Anghel Iordănescu, who had previously won the championship twice with Saudi clubs, first with Al Hilal in the 1999/2000 season, and then with Al Ittihad in 2005.
