The Canal Club's management has resolved the controversy surrounding the possibility of merging their football team with Ismaily Club, especially with Canal's promotion to the Premier League and increasing talks about Ismaily's potential relegation.

It was emphasized that the idea of a merger is still premature, stressing that the identity of either club, whether it be Al-Qanah or Ismaily, cannot be compromised, especially in the absence of legal frameworks or regulations governing such a step.

She explained that the idea raises many questions, including the mechanism of implementing the merger if it occurs, whether it will be limited to the first team only or extend to other sectors, in addition to the management and accountability methods in this case.

It also raised another question about the fate of this merger if the team is relegated to the professional league, and whether it will continue or be reversed.

She concluded by emphasizing that discussing this issue officially requires clear regulations and specific answers to all these questions before taking any steps in this direction.
