Rashid Jaber: Our Goal is to Defeat Al-Kahraba and Maintain the Lead
Sunday 12-04-2026
Omani Rashid Jaber, the head coach of Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya Club, confirmed that his team has completed its preparations perfectly to face Al-Kahraba tomorrow evening, Monday, emphasizing that the 'Falcons' will enter the match with only one goal which is to achieve victory and continue the series of positive results that have placed the team at the top of the Iraq Stars League.

During the press conference preceding the 28th round match, Rashid Jaber stated that the technical staff has worked over the past days on 'correcting mistakes and enhancing the positive aspects' that appeared in previous matches, the latest being the big victory over Al-Qasim with a clean five-goal win.

The Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya coach added: 'The preparations went perfectly, and the players are at the peak of focus and physical and mental readiness. We know that the match will not be easy against an organized team like Al-Kahraba, as they are a team fighting for every point to improve their position in the table.'

Jaber stressed that his team's calculations are clear: 'The goal is clear, which is to achieve victory and continue the positive results. We respect Al-Kahraba a lot, but we are playing at home and among our fans, and we must impose our style from the first minute. Leading requires you to play every match as if it were a final.'

Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya tops the league with 63 points, and Jaber understands that temporarily widening the gap with Al-Shorta to 7 points will give his team great comfort before the decisive rounds. Therefore, the Omani coach refuses any complacency against Al-Kahraba, who are in 16th place with 27 points.

For his part, Tunisian Haitham Al-Juwaini, Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya's striker, expressed his full confidence in his teammates before the Al-Kahraba encounter, considering that 'the high spirit within the team will be the key to victory' tomorrow at Al-Zawraa Stadium.

Al-Juwaini, who scored one of the five goals against Al-Qasim, said: 'As players, we realize the importance of the match, and we know that the Falcons' fans expect only a win from us. We will give everything we have on the pitch to make them happy, as they are our true support in all circumstances.'

He added: 'The atmosphere in the locker room is excellent, and everyone is at the peak of focus. Matches that seem easy on paper are the most dangerous, so our approach to Al-Kahraba will be with utmost seriousness. Our goal is the three points and nothing else.'
