Saad Al-Shehri, the head coach of the Al-Ettifaq team, revealed the latest developments regarding his continuation with the club, confirming that his stay is imminent but contingent on a final administrative procedure.

Al-Shahri explained, during his speech at the press conference following the match against Al-Qadisiyah, that the management of Al-Ettifaq has completed the procedures to submit his new contract to the Financial Sustainability Committee, awaiting official approval.

The Ettifaq coach indicated that this step represents the final hurdle before announcing the contract extension, reflecting the club's desire to maintain the team's technical stability.

Al-Shahri took over the task of coaching Al-Ittifaq in January 2025, succeeding the English coach Steven Gerrard, and he has successfully improved the team's results significantly since then.

Al-Ettifaq currently holds the seventh position in the Saudi Roshan League standings with 42 points, just three points behind Al-Ittihad, which is in sixth place.

The team strengthened its position with an important victory over Al-Qadisiyah, winning three goals to two, in an exciting match as part of the 27th round of competitions.

The club hopes to continue its positive results in the upcoming rounds, while simultaneously resolving the issue of Al-Shahri's stay, to ensure technical stability before the end of the season.
