The medical team of Al-Ahli Saudi Club reassured its fans about the condition of Brazilian winger Matheus Gonçalves following the injury he sustained during the match against Al-Hilal in the semi-finals of the King's Cup.

The young player was injured in the final minutes of the match, specifically in the 119th minute, after coming on as a substitute in the second half for the French player Enzo Millot, before leaving the field affected by the injury.

The reports clarified that the injury sustained by Gonçalves is not concerning, as it has been described as minor and will not affect his upcoming participation with the team in the near future.

The player is expected to be ready for a quick return, especially after the scheduled rest period following Eid al-Fitr, as the team will resume its regular group training.

Al-Ahly had a tough match against Saudi club Al-Hilal, which ended in a loss by penalty shootout (4-2) after a 1-1 draw in both regular and extra time.

It is noted that Gonçalves, 20 years old, joined Al-Ahly in the summer of 2025 from Brazil's Flamengo with a contract extending until the end of June 2027. He is considered one of the most anticipated talents on the team.
