Harry Kane: We Do Not Fear Real Madrid, and This Was Important
Bayern Munich star Harry Kane spoke in press statements after the 4-1 victory over Atalanta in the second leg of the UEFA Champions League round of 16, allowing the Bavarians to advance to the quarter-finals, noting that the first leg ended 6-1.
The English star said about facing Real Madrid in the quarter-finals: "It will be a tough match. When you play against Real Madrid in the Champions League, you have to expect a strong opponent. You must be ready to fight and play in a certain way, and we will be ready for that."
He added: "We do not fear anyone. We know that facing Real Madrid will be a tough challenge, but with the confidence we have gained from this match and the season so far, we just need to continue doing what we are doing."
On what pleased him most in today's match: "Just winning the match. We talked before the game about our desire to win in the same style we showed in the first leg. We were present from the first minute to the 95th minute, and that's very important."
On not having to play as a goalkeeper with Bayern as he did previously with Tottenham, referring to the injuries the Bavarians are suffering in the goalkeeper position: "It was a one-time experience, and I think it was enough! The goalkeeper today performed well (Urbić), and it was great to be with him. The young players were also ready and performed well, so we can be generally happy."
