Liverpool star Hugo Ekitike appeared in a press statement following the 4-0 victory over Galatasaray in the second leg of the Champions League round of 16, allowing the Reds to advance to the quarter-finals despite losing the first leg 1-0.

Ekitike said in his speech: "We deserve to be here, so we are very happy. We delivered a great performance tonight and were able to win 10-0, so we look forward to the quarter-finals."

He added, "We made some changes at halftime, and when I got the chance, we felt more liberated. Everyone delivered an outstanding performance and gave their utmost for each other."

Regarding Mohamed Salah, he concluded: "He is a legend. Some people sometimes say he is having a tough season, but he has been an important player for years. I am very happy for him for scoring his 50th goal."
