Liverpool will host their Turkish counterpart tomorrow evening, Wednesday, in a crucial match, having lost the first leg 1-0, which increases the difficulty of the Reds' task in qualifying for the quarter-finals.

Slot said: "I am completely sure that our fans will be as they always have been, especially on European nights. It's never good for them to feel disappointed, as the fans don't feel disappointed after a win."

He added: "When I came here, I was told this club is different, and that the fans will support the coach for a long time. I must have made a lot of mistakes, and that's a very bad feeling."
